Therapeutic Systems

Part of Therapeutic System’s mission is to validate its products through evidence based clinical research. One issue with current sensory integration therapies is that they have not been sufficiently studied to ensure safety and effectiveness. Therapeutic Systems will work to design the best possible therapy products; however the work does not stop there. Proper clinical validation of efficacy claims will be a part of every Therapeutic Systems product line.

In an effort to validate the DeePAD even before its market launch, Therapeutic Systems partnered with a university speech language therapy clinic on a small clinical study. A proof-of-concept DeePAD prototype was used with autistic children during their language therapy sessions. A comparison of the DeePAD, weighted vest, and no device was made. While efficacy data of this study is still being analyzed, the Therapeutic Systems device, even as a prototype, met expectations of usability in a clinical setting.
