Brian Mullen, PhD CEO and Founder
Brian holds a BS and PhD of mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Brian’s doctoral research covered many disciplines, from exploring the safety and effectiveness of treatments for people with mental illness, to the design and development of therapeutic devices. His work has led to publications, awards, and presentations in multiple fields as well the submissions of provisional patents. Brian presented at the national American Occupational Therapy Associations’ annual conference (AOTA) for the scientific research, The International Society for Autism Research’s (INSAR) annual conference for his work with developing technology for children with autism, and the Nation Collegiate Innovator and Inventor’s Association (NCIIA) annual conference for entrepreneurship.
Chris Leidel COO and Founding Partner
Chris holds a BS of mechanical engineering and an MBA both from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Brian recruited Chris in 2007 to help with Therapeutic Systems as the scope and level of activity increased. He and Brian met as undergraduate classmates. After graduation, Chris left Amherst and worked for a number of years as a design engineer and program manager at both Texas Instruments and Sensata Technologies. He returned to UMass in 2007 to pursue an MBA and concurrently began to work with Brian on Therapeutic Systems.
Sundar Krishnamurty, PhD Scientific Advisor
Prof. Krishnamurty is a faculty member of the UMASS mechanical engineering department and was chair to Brian’s PhD. thesis. He is the co-inventor of the deep pressure garment technology and has been researching the design and development of similar therapeutic products for several years.
