The nightmare of being physically restrained and secluded in a room turns into a reality for many people with mental illness everyday when all other treatment options fail.  The 3-4 million parents of children with autism and ADHD wish they had options.  Everyday parents must decide to expose their child to the potentially severe side effects of medication or use an alternative treatment that has not yet been tested to insure it is safe or effective. Parents of the 1 in 150 children that will be diagnosed with autism will be faced with the added cost of over $100,000/year to raise their child. Mental illness is the largest medical burden to society and more than ever parents and caregivers are demanding new solutions.
